🥞 Masala Dosa
Masala dosa is a crispy South Indian crepe filled with spiced potato goodness.
Crunchy outside, soft inside — it’s pure comfort food. 🌿
🛒 Ingredients
- Dosa batter
- Potatoes
- Onions
- Spices:
- Mustard seeds
- Cumin seeds
- Turmeric powder
- Curry leaves
- Green chilies
- Oil or ghee
👩🍳 How to Make It
- Boil, peel, and mash the potatoes until smooth.
- In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions + chilies until golden.
- Add mustard seeds and curry leaves — wait for the magical splutter. 🌱
- Mix in the potatoes and spices. Your filling is ready!
- On a hot pan, spread dosa batter into a thin circle.
- Drizzle a little oil/ghee, cook until golden & crispy.
- Add filling, fold, and serve hot with chutney + sambar. 😋

- Saute
- Quick cooking in a little fat, over high heat, stirring often.
- Splutter
- The happy popping sound when spices hit hot oil.
- Ghee
- Golden clarified butter with a nutty aroma, much loved in Indian kitchens.
🧀 Paneer Butter Masala
Paneer Butter Masala is creamy, buttery, and oh-so-heavenly.
Soft paneer cubes swimming in a rich tomato gravy — best enjoyed with naan or rice. 🍛
🛒 Ingredients
- Paneer
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Ginger-garlic paste
- Butter & cream (for that luscious texture)
- Spices:
- Garam masala
- Coriander powder
- Chili powder
- Turmeric
- Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek)
- Sugar (a pinch for balance)
👩🍳 How to Make It
- Purée onions & tomatoes separately.
- Melt butter, sauté ginger-garlic until fragrant.
- Add onion purée → cook golden. Add tomato purée + spices.
- Simmer until oil separates (that’s flavor unlocked!).
- Stir in cream, sugar & kasuri methi.
- Add paneer cubes gently. Cook for 2–3 mins.
- Garnish with coriander. Serve hot with naan/rice. 😍

- Cooking gently, just below boiling point.

- Dried fenugreek leaves — tiny, but mighty in flavor!
🍯 Gulab Jamun
Gulab Jamun is India’s sweet hug in a bowl.
Soft golden dumplings soaking in fragrant sugar syrup — melt-in-your-mouth goodness. 🌸
🛒 Ingredients
- Khoya (mawa)
- All-purpose flour (maida)
- Baking soda
- Sugar + water (for syrup)
- Flavorings:
- Cardamom
- Rose water
- Saffron
- Oil or ghee (for frying)
👩🍳 How to Make It
- Knead khoya + flour + soda into a smooth dough.
- Roll into crack-free little balls.
- Fry on medium-low until golden brown.
- Make sugar syrup with cardamom, rose water & saffron.
- Drop fried balls in warm syrup, soak for hours (or overnight!).
- Enjoy soft, juicy Gulab Jamuns. 💖
